Seven Media Group — the merged SCA and Seven West Media business — used its 2027 upfronts at Luna Park, Sydney, on October 22, 2026 to put podcasting at the centre of its radio strategy, radioinfo Australia reported.
The Hit Network's new Drive team is Lu & Jarch — Luisa Dal Din and Jack Archdale — moving from Triple M afternoons after Carrie & Tommy confirmed their departure from Hit Drive on October 21, ending a run of nearly ten years. The pair built a large digital following on Triple M and through their podcast We Mean Well.
As part of the move, SCA has signed We Mean Well — previously with Acast — to its own audio platform LiSTNR. Lu & Jarch will host the Drive radio show, produced from Sydney rather than Melbourne, alongside what is expected to be a separately branded podcast through LiSTNR.
WHY IT MATTERS: Australia's newly merged radio-TV giant is building drive time around a podcast-native duo and pulling their show in-house from an international network to its own platform. The talent pipeline between podcasting and broadcast radio now runs in both directions at once — and platforms, not just stations, are where the talent deals are being done.
