LaborForce Media launched Labor’s 9/11 Legacy on September 10 to mark the 25th anniversary of September 11. Hosted by New York attorney and broadcaster Arthur Aidala, the English-language series centers firsthand conversations with workers, first responders, union members and leaders who were involved in the response, recovery and rebuilding.
The project is free to listen to and is distributed through LaborForce Media and podcast platforms. Its editorial purpose is archival as much as current: preserve accounts from people who participated in events that are increasingly being remembered through anniversaries rather than lived experience. That makes source selection and context especially important. A commemorative podcast can add value when it lets participants speak in detail without pretending a single memory represents every person or institution involved.
