Edison Podcast Metrics Q3 2026: Rogan, Crime Junkie and The Daily hold the top three
Edison Research at SSRS has published its Edison Podcast Metrics ranking for the third quarter of 2026, based on interviews with 5,223 weekly podcast consumers in the United States aged 13 and over. The Joe Rogan Experience, Crime Junkie and The Daily hold the top three places for a third straight quarter.

Edison Research at SSRS released its Edison Podcast Metrics report for the third quarter of 2026 on October 23, 2026. The ranking is built from interviews with 5,223 weekly podcast consumers in the United States aged 13 and over, who named the podcasts they had listened to or watched in the past week. The Joe Rogan Experience, Crime Junkie and The Daily hold first, second and third place, the same top three as the previous quarter.
Below the top three, the quarter moved. Call Her Daddy ranks fourth and SmartLess fifth. Dumb Blonde, hosted by Bunnie Xo, enters the top 20 for the first time. Edison linked that rise to an August episode about her divorce from Jelly Roll, which she posted and then removed. The Pat McAfee Show, Pardon My Take and Kill Tony all sit inside the top 25. Five shows enter the top 50 for the first time. They are StarTalk Radio, Club 520, The Stephen A. Smith Show and Straight Shooter, Hang Out with Sean Hannity and Smosh Reads Reddit Stories. True Crime with Kendall Rae climbed 44 places to number 55, just outside the chart.
Edison publishes ranks rather than reach percentages in this release, and the release gives no margin of error. The ranking also measures something different from download rankers. PodcastingToday noted that Triton Digital's September ranker, which counts downloads, puts Stuff You Should Know first, and that show sits outside Edison's top ten.
WHY IT MATTERS: Sponsors and networks buy against rankings, and this quarter shows two things at once. The head of the chart is settled, with the same three shows on top for three quarters. The middle of the chart is open, with five first time entries and a 44 place climb in one quarter. A creator quoting a rank should name the ranker, the measure and the sample, because Edison's recall based reach and Triton's download counts describe different audiences.
