American Hospital Association launches Frontiers, a three-part rural maternal-care podcast series

The American Hospital Association announced Frontiers on September 15, with the first episode released September 16. The English-language three-part documentary series is part of the AHA’s Advancing Health Podcast and focuses on maternal care in rural communities. AHA says the series includes hospital and health-system leaders discussing leadership commitment, workforce challenges, technology and regional partnerships.
The first episode, Committing to Rural Maternal Care, features leaders from several rural hospitals and health systems. AHA’s episode page includes a transcript and says the second episode is scheduled for September 23. The series is advocacy-adjacent because it is produced by a hospital association, so listeners should recognize the perspective of the publisher while evaluating individual claims and examples.
For podcast producers, Frontiers is also an example of using a limited documentary series inside an established feed.
